    The 2026 Ankole Cup has reached the knockout stage following the climax of the group stage of the competitors that began in June.

    The Ankole Cup is an inter-district match that brings collectively all of the 13 districts that make up Ankole area.

    On the quarterfinal stage, Buhweju District will tackle Kiruhura, Mbarara Metropolis will lock horns with Bushenyi whereas Ibanda could have a gathering with Rubirizi. Ntugamo will tussle with Rwampara.

    They are going to be performed on residence and away foundation beginning with this Saturday and Sunday.

    Whereas addressing the media at Kati Kati Restuarant on Thursday, Osborn Mushabe, the chairperson Ankole Cup Media and Mobilisation thanks the followers and sponsors who’ve performed an enormous function in the direction of the event of the competitors.

    “We thank our expensive followers, sponsors and media fraternity for the help rendered to this match. We’re eternally grateful and we nonetheless name upon all of you to proceed supporting the Ankole Cup. To the followers even when your staff is eradicated please come and be half.”

    Hon. Francis Mwijukye revealed that in response to the foundations there gained’t be away objectives guidelines on the knockout stage

    “As we head into the knockout stage, it’s worthy to notice that the away objectives guidelines was eliminated and this means that if groups are stage on mixture, the winner will likely be decided on penalties.” He said

    In the meantime, the Uganda Vocational and Technical Evaluation Board (UVTAB) is the newest sponsor added to Ankole Cup. They are going to cater for match officers and man of the match accolades.

    After the quarterfinal stage, the semifinals will likely be scheduled for Sunday ,2nd August to ninth with the ultimate slated for sixteenth of the identical month at Kabwohe stadium.

    Mbarara Metropolis Vs Bushenyi, Kakyeeka Stadium

    Buhweju Vs Kiruhura, Nsiika Playground

    Ntungamo Vs Rwampara, Kyamate Playground
